Rurik Gislason is an Icelandic footballer who currently plays as a winger for the German club SV Sandhausen. He was born on February 25, 1988, in Reykjavik, Iceland. Gislason began his professional career with the Icelandic club, HK Kopavogs, and later moved to the Danish club, Viborg FF.
In 2015, Gislason signed with the German club, SV Sandhausen, where he has been playing since. He has also represented the Icelandic national team, and was a part of the squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
Furthermore, Gislason has gained massive popularity due to his good looks and charming personality, and has a huge social media following. During the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he gained over a million followers on Instagram after his appearances for the Icelandic national team.
